Turkey Question

I was just wondering what everyone uses to preserve a turkey skin? Ready to mount, but the way I was taught at Pennsylvania Instiute of Taxidermy, Im not sure of...we didnt put anything on the skin to preserve it...is this normal...or what should I use.

Be sure to flesh it good. And dont forget the small piece of meat in the end of the wing. Good Luck

All birds should have the skin treated with dry preservative or borax as a minimum to inhibit bug infestation.

First off call them up and ask. Dereck will reexplain. They may have been treated by injecting glue,formaldehyde and glycrin in the wattles etc.
