Rittles Formula for Pickling

Submitted by Gina on 2/19/06 at 11:39 AM. ( ) 24.20.207.217

I read on the Rittles Formula about Citric acid pickling. They gave the recipe, but i was wondering where to get the form of citric acid they are talking about. Is it like lemon juice or can it be bought in a much more consentrated form?

I have been looking for something safer that can be obtained locally rather than sending out mail orders. thanks!

Check out the suppliers above. Research Mannikins (spelling?) I know sells it. It isn't lemon juice it is a highly concentrated acid. Also look into Safety Acid, which I use, it is a "safer" acid. I highly recommend using every safety caution when using anything labeled acid.
