When looking for a compressor for air brushing, what size do I need to do the trick?I am going to try to stay away from other air tools unless down the road you think I will regret a small one for other uses. They are not cheap and only want to do this one time. Thanks

I have a Tradesman that came from Wal-Mart that is a very versatile little $100.00 compressor. It has 2 small air reserve tanks, which means it won't be running continuously, so you don't have to listen to noise all the time. Also comes with a regulator. Word of warning...cut it off or unplug it when not in use. Mine locked up a the motor burned up while I was away one time...WM made it good. I use mine for airbrushing, brad guns, airing up tires, etc. For shop use, one with a 25 gallon tank is nice so if you use large spray guns, air nailers, & air tools you have adequate air reserve.
the little 2 gal compressor for around $100.00. They are great for just an airbrush and a blow off every once in a while, but that's about all. I have had one for the past year and it does work great, but if you want more air, they just don't cut it. I just stepped up in size to the 4 gal tank and larger motor. It came with a brad nailer and air staple gun. It s a little louder but I will live with that.
from WM is a 4 gallon (2- 2 gallon tanks), 2 HP compressor. It cost $100.00.
