Look like Aberts and Kaibab

Some zoologists give the Kaibab a separate species name, but originally both color phases were considered Abert I THINK. Stephen Rogers of some of you who have them living near you will know better than I.

yes, they are albert's. we have them in new mexico as well up in the gila (hee-la) national forrest. i lived in arizona many years and new mexico most of my life. have knocked a many of them from the top of a pine tree with a .22. they are a beautiful squirl...but, what a pest when you are trying to stalk a bull elk during archery season and you have one or two of them above you in the tree tops. they scream and yell and carry on to the point every deer, bear, turkey and bull knows why they are screaming..and they leave the hillsides in a hurry. jim
