Question About The Sale of Pen Raised Mallard Mounts?

I have read all of the regulations and searched these forums for an hour now and can't get a definite answer. I was wondering if i have to get a permit to sell "pen raised mallards" that I mounted a couple of years ago. My wife no longer wants them in our house and is making me get rid of them. I know that the federal regulations say that if a "shot" bird is taken from the wild you have to have a permit to, but was wondering since they were raised in captivity and properly marked and tagged if i still had to have a permit. Any information would be helpful.

Not as long as they are properly marked

Mallards are one of those "loose ends" the government showed some common sense about. As long as a toe is clipped, or it is pinioned, you can sell as many as you'd like.

Does That apply to mounted birds as well?

I am wondering that if the toe is clipped or pinioned and with proper paperwork, can you mount the mallards and then sell them as mounts legally, thanks for the quick response

Yes

The 50CFR's have a special segment on "captive reared birds" and mallards rate their own paragraph.
