Any suggestions for the best way to attach the backing of the bear rug to the head? I sew the whole rug, and have been gluing the head and paws with contact cement. I'm just not sure if it's a strong enough hold if the bear is hung on the wall. Please help.

we use two layers of felt. and a backing of quilt filler. the filler is sewn between the felt before attaching to the hide. except the head. the backing is then sewn to the bear hide. when we get to the head we sew up as far as posable. then using staples we the backing and first layer of felt to the form. apply a coat of Vinyl top adhesive and press the final layer of felt onto it, then sew around the border. This give a nicely backed rug with lots of body and fullness.
