why not wax

I was told not to use wax to finish out the inside of an open mouth bobcat. I've done two grooming bucks and finished them with wax and I thought it worked fine.I also use it around the eyes and in the nose on my deer mounts, am I doing something wrong?

colored wax is the old method. It does work. But does not set up permenently like using apoxie-sculpt and paint will.

I personally like All-Game. Its semi translucent and can be mixed with different colors to get what you need. I like it much better then apoxie sculpt. It looks more fleshy. I use it to patch holes in ears when there is nothing to sew and you can still hold a flashlight to it and see through it. Well good luck.

Wax is like frosting

You put it on there and it looks nice, but stick something in it and you mess it up. It never hardens like the two products mentioned above. I still use wax on rare occasion but ONLY for tiny stuff like filling pin holes late in the game that I might have missed when doing my finish work. And that's only because I have wax in several different colors and my apoxi sculpt in only one color so requires air brushing. Doing wax on a bobcat mouth. That's a lot of area that potentially could be touched, bumped, whatever and be messed up.
