New to taxidermy

Do any of you sew the tear duct after fleshing. Also what is the best way to thaw out a green cape. Thanks alot

No and the reason is I use a quality hide paste (Epo-Grip)and some clay on the tear duct when I mount. This way when I tuck it in the clay is then used to help hold it into place.
Now mind you, this should be checked twice a day any way to insure a closed tear duct.
The best way to thaw a cape out is in the fridge.

Depends on, one, whether there is a hole in the tear duct. I had two from Canada that whomever caped them cut dime size holes in the tear duct I sewed them up. If it is small I do like Frank said.
