your arrows will not fly to well with fire line in your bow. However, you will catch more fish with fire line, than bowstring.

I have never used bowstring for sewing, but recently switched to fire line and I am very impressed, I love it. It pulls easy and works great.

then fire line.I use 20lb test for everything I mount birds, fish, small and large animals ext.Birds it dosn't stick to the feathers like wax coated thread. The only down side is that it will slice your skin with very little presure.I use a the tip of a leather glove over me pinky finger when I pull the line tight.Go get some and you will be hooked.

thanks

I know what you mean about it cutting yur pinky, thats the only thing I dont like about fireline. I didnt even think about putting the piece of glove on my pinky, I will definitely be doing that, thanks for that idea Mike.

Both do not rot and both will cut you. Bowstring, however, is Kevlar and Kevlar has a limp texture while Fireline will remain rigid almost like piano wire. It knots easier, and hold better. It's self lubricating so there's no need for waxing to get it to slip through tough hides. If you use a quilters loop in your sewing, you can unthread your needle so much easier with Fireline than anything else.
