My customer sent in a bear hide for a half size mount. However, when he skinned it, he skinned it up the front, all the way up close to the chin. My question; can this be sewn (the thin hair on a bear is on the belly) to be hidden? I am afraid it will show and no way to hide it.
Any help is appreciated.

You can sew from underneath with a rap stitch and it will still show. Use very fine stitches with very fine Fireline. Then you can stain the skin and hopefully make it less noticeable.
