1. I am doing two hides in Krowtan at the same time.. you guys will probably tell me thats wrong, but its too late now..didnt read these forums before. Anyway.. I doubled everything.. tan solution water salt, etc. My question is do I double the ingredients for the neutralizing solution (baking soda etc)?
2. I haven't done any mounts for 2 years. I have the WASCO clay and kept it air tight. Problem is its hard now.. now I dont mean hard like dry.. hard like clay would be if it were frozen. You can still smear it on the outside with your finger. Any suggestions on how to soften up.
3. The other hide I have in the solution is just a rug type cape. Will be the first I have done. Do you guys have any photos or suggestions on how to do a rug or what other things can be done?
Thanks for everyones hard work on these forums.

spray water on top of it, cover and let it rehydrate, check later, add more water if it is still stiff, but dont make soup out of it with to much water.
I dont use Krowtann so I cant help you there, but the double rule seems ok to me.
Any Krotan users out there
I to use krowtann. when i first started i also did 2 hides at once. the only thing you have to do is netralize them seperatly. that worked for me. as far as the clay just buy more you don't want something as dumb as that to mess up your mount. jim
