Waxy Skull Cap

OK yes I did a search but can not find what I need. I scraped my mule deer skull cap then boiled it in sal soda, after first time still greasy. Boiled again then turned white with a heavy waxy feel. Boiled a third time, still the same. What now? I don't think hide paste will stick to that! Thanks for your time guys

I know I'm going to incur the wrath of the minions, but I never boil my skulls. I clean them with a scalpel, pull the brain covering out with needle nosed pliers and hang them up until I'm ready to use them. What little meat remains is sanded off during the shaping of the skull cap and covered with Bondo. Then I clay the head and antlers and no glue is going to stick there anyway. But that's just me.
