I have just done a turkey tail mount and wing I was wondering how to mount and preserve the feet. Do I have to split the pads clean them out ?

I am by no means a expert but what I did is make an L with the longest part of the L straight with the middle toe. Then I took a screw driver and pried it under one tendon at a time and removed 7 I think. There is one tendon on the back side and I took a drill bit and got that one out. I then ran a long drill bit down the middle of the bone to remove the marrow. I boraxed it all and plan to inject it with some peserve and I am going to put 3 rods in the leg for support. This is what I have learned all this off the forum. I am also going to paint the legs an off flesh color and then wash black in the cracks.
