First i will say i should of checked these out before throwing them in the freezer so i admit "my fault". But i purchased 2 deer capes from wings-n-things "2-12-06" and i just got to them the doe cape was i will say pretty good but the other buck cape damn i never seen so many holes there is over 12 holes in this cape ranging from no less then one inch to most over 3 inches, longest is 6 inches .All in the chest and lower neck very visable if not sewn right. Like i said this should have been checked out by me first before freezing but where the hell is the honesty in this. When you advertise a quality deer cape, sell a quality deer cape not something you obviously practiced fleshing with. This is my fault for not taking care of this before but i have a post it note on my lcd screen that has a list of who not to buy from and dear mr. wing-n-things you have been added to my list. This was a poor quality cape and if you all seen it i put my money were my words are you would agree. Now all of you can run your traps about this post but if it is not said this man with bad eye site will do this again to someone, maybe you.

Did you contact the seller with you concerns before you bashed him on a public forum?
9 times out of 10, a seller will make the deal right, if there's a problem. BUT, after your attack, I'd be surprised if they offered you anything.
If i want to bash him on a public forum thats my right when you rip someone off expect some type of feedback where the deal was made. i'm the guy out the cash, not you so i will bash away. i tried to contact but they must of knew they was wrong when they ignore your email. when you sell crap you get bad feedback. Yes it was my fault for not noticing quicker but either way cape was crap. So i bashed him later then sooner either way bad deal from wing-n-things.
He knew what he was doing getting rid of his crap.

NOWHERE in the original post did Kris say that he tried to contact the seller, he just jumped on and badmouthed the guy. There is a chance that Wings-n-things intentionally passed a bad cape, but there's also a chance that he's an honest guy that made a mistake.
Kris, if you want any sympathy, you should state all the facts. That way, un-involved readers know the whole story, and can make an educated judgement. After reading your first post, I would most likely avoid doing business with you, because you're a whiner! To most taxidermists, a few holes (even a dozen) in a cape are nothing more than a little more prep time. If you're a beginner, it's good practice. Even though you don't feel like you got the product that you were promised, the cape is still usable.
Let me explain this to you really slow so you understand...are you ready... when someone sells a cape and calls it a quality cape what does the word quality mean to you? obviosly quality means a crappy product to you so i feel bad for the people you do buisness with. Second when a cape comes to you half fleshed with all the holes it had then obviuosly this person tried fleshing it screwed it up passed it off as a "quality product" which it is far from. Yes the cape is repairable but who wants to spend all that money to sew for hours if it has a hole say it has a hole same for a dozen or so. FACT IS WHEN YOU ADVERTISE QUALITY SELL QUALITY. As for me whinning it ain't a whine jag off it's called a bitch. Get it right i hate how people like you always try to put down a post when soemone calls bad deal i see you do that alot..like i said if the people don't want bad feedback sell what they advertise but if you sell crap expect bad things to be written where the deal was made. I could care less if you do buisness with me or not cause the way you post always sticking up for the guy who ripps people off seems like your the same way in your deallings and i'm sure a thousand others reading this would agree the way your always bashing the guy who got screwed you to seem like a shady seller. 3. Originally, I never said to do or not to do business with you or the other guy. I simply said that maybe you should contact the guy before you bash him on an open forum.
4. Most readers assume that what you post is the whole story. Most literate writers, include all the details of a story ... not just bits and pieces. It gives the reader the "whole" picture.
5. Please enroll in an English/Grammar class at your local junior high school.

Actually if i make it in this industry or not i'm a thirty year old success I grew up in the Irving & Dallas Texas projects and now i live in Ohio and own 7 rental duplexs and i'm only thirty, either way i make money this is just a hobby I mess in. It really amazes me that a thirty year old man still has the childish mentality that compells you to use some of the names that you've used in your posts. Honestly, I've never met a grown man that used such childish tactics to try to gain the upper hand in a dispute. I know 7 year old kids that are better mannered, and more articulate than you. Kris, I remember the capes you are talking about. I bought those capes from another taxidermist on taxi net and never looked at them. I never got around to messing with them thats why I sold them.Had I known that the cape had so many holes in it I never would have sold it.I am sorry for that. I guess I will have to start checking everything I buy before I decide to sell it.Thanks for letting me know though.

He bought the capes and they were to badly damaged for him to want to deal with. Or he really did what i said before and just praticed with them and pawned them off on a sucker "me". Either way this guy is a bad seller point blank. Is this proof enough that i was scammed or is this still a bad buyer at work. As for my rentals kevin my wife handles that till i have to evict then i take overs he says i'm cold hearted i could evict santa on christmas eve.. Man i have nothing against you at all, opinions are like as***les everybody has one. I could meet you tommorrow and laugh away. Just remember man for every good seller there probably 2 scam artist out there. As for my grammer i know i suck thats my youngstown state university buisness degree at work.
I'd say he new the cape was crap, and pawned it off on you. I say this because most sellers willingly offer a refund or exchange if they've made an "honest" mistake. Since he didn't offer any resoultion, you can only assume that he's just happy to be rid of the cape and have a few extra dollars in his pocket. It's sad to say, but there are people out there like this.
But, don't let this put a bad taste in your mouth. I'd say that 99% of the time, you'll get what's advertised. Most people on taxidermy.net are honest, hard working people that will do everything in their power to make a situation like this right. I've bought numerous items off of forums like this, and have always got what I paid for. Only once, did I get duped on a digital camera that I bought on ebay.
I won't let this drive me away, I realize there are alot of stuff that gets sold on this site that the deals are good. But i just am in need of around a 18" cape now cause of this smuck. And i'm sure i ain't the only one that had to set back a mount for awhile. So i will be surfing the forum... All in all I love the site lots of info just tons of knowledge for me to learn. Sorry for the comments just blowing some steam nothing personal ok.
