I am working on a play for next semester and we have need of a "dead" goat as a prop. I don't know if what we need is a taxidermist or if I should look elsewhere or build it out of other materials. Does anybody have suggestions for making or obtaining a relatively realistic, limp, full sized goat. I can reached at JopeTheSane@aol.com. Thank you.

We try to make animals for disply in a realistic manner, What you need is just a Prop. You can make one out of faux fur and some fake horns. It will be good enough for a play. You can find a stuffed animal at the toy store that you can somewhat copy to make what you want. A mixture of long and short hair will make a goat that could look pretty realsitic depening on the time you wish to spend. A mounted goat will not be flexable and will not be a good idea for a paly anyway. Think of what people that are sensitive to animal abuse would have to say about your paly with a "real" animal on the stage?
A fake one woutl be just the ticket and would not offend your audiance. This is just "MY oppinion" so take it for what it's worth.
Personally I could can less about bunny huggers, but your play may suffer from it.
