Would anyone know if there are any videos or magazines on mounting a owl? Never did any birds yet.Have 3 owls to try. Thanks Kim

While I am no bird expert, I do know that to accept any bird of prey you need a special permit...without one, I would ditch the things...even roadkill birds of prey are off limits without special permits.
They are legal in other places, like Canada.
I belive there was a good artical in one of the Breakthrough or Taxidermy Today mags. It had a lot of info on mounting owls and hawks and a lot about the anatomy.
I belive they even did a mould of the head and made a fake one to mount it.
He has some great videos on birds and his is in my opinion one of the best out there. Good luck
please find out where the owls came from and if they were taken illegally you can be in alot of trouble with the DNR. you are not suppose to have any birds of prey in your freezer at all unless you havea permit attached to it or you received it from qa DNR agent please be careful about.
