Apoxie Sculpt Natural Color - Antler repair

Hello all. I made a HUGE mistake this past weekend. I have had my deer skull from last fall in the garage all winter just waiting for the right day to power wash it. Well...last week I noticed it started to stink (obviously) so I put it in a crotch of a tree for ONE day just to get it out of the garage. I didn't want it on the ground outside for fear of something dragging it off. Here is where I am an IDIOT. There are a bunch of squirrels in our trees and without even thinking about them, I tied the skull in the crotch of a tree for one day and you can probably guess what happened. Yes...those little ####ing bastards chewed my rack all up! I have never been so pissed at myself in all my life. What a complete bonehead move.

Anyway..now I guess I get to work on my antler repairing ablities some more. The antlers are lighter, almost white, that's how they were when I shot him, just really light colored. I've done antler repair before just to tinker with it, but never really was concerned if it turned out very well..until now. Now I have to repair them so they look natural again. I've read all the archives on antler repair over and over, but now my question..since I've not done very well with the staining on my previous repars because I just used the basic Apoxie Sculpt that was the gray color. What is the difference in the AS natural color and the white? Is the white really "white" or is it an off white? How about the natural? What does that look like when it's hardened?

Thanks in advance. I'm gonna go buy a pellet gun and get rid of all of those damn tree rats!

White is white and naturaly takes color better than natural which is greyish. You can however add some water based white paint to natural to whiten it up when your mixing it. It may never be quite as white as the white apoxie, although it will finish color better than natural

use all game two part epoxy
