I am new at this and I was wondering when you flesh a fish do I need to get all of the white spiderweb looking membrane off the fish skin to or just the meat.There is nothing said in the books about this stuff.

Unless they've formed little wads in some places. Those can be sliced off with a scalpel..eh? Good luck.
As long as you clean the meat off the skin you can leave those on the skin. If you use a fish form those strands will help bond the fish skin to the form. Hope that helps! Gary
