good for a first mount, the only thing i see wrong is the transition from the skull to the ear. Looks like the ears arent sitting in the skull like they should, try cutting out a slot for the ear butts. Looks good though!

very good! B++
Not very much needed to improve, the left ear tip is curled a bit, but that would pass for a commercial grade easy.

Very nice for the first mount JC, it has a nice clean look. Now the few problems, the ears should be closer together, you've pushed the butts off the side of the head. Next is the eyes, I don't like to see the pupils dead in the center of the eye. The top of the pupil should be touching or just under the upper eyelid, what this does is add sclera under the lower part of the pupil. This is a more natural look. Keep up the good work. Look at this site for good reference pictures http://animals.timduru.org/dirlist/

Thanks...

for the comments and advice,everything I have learned so far has been from this site,Ive been reading on here for the past year and a half or so just taking everything in,there is so much that a person can learn just from reading and asking questions,I purchased a few videos but I didnt get anything from them,so all of you keep up the good work,thanks for the help.

DON"T GO THERE

I went to the site suggested by tomdes to check out the reference pictures and my computer was attacked ! What ever it was it got past all my protection! I just spent hunderds of dollars getting rid of the last virus. All my protection is brand new, top of the line! Went right around it like it was'nt there. I had to shut the power off to escape! I have spent the last half-hour restoring and re-booting to get back here and post this warning! Don't go there !

no problems with mine

There is nothing wrong with his site, I have been there twice. I ever ran a check, all is well here.

.. living in taxidermy land (USA). You should have seen my first fox shoulder mount - 30 years ago no forms at all were available in Sweden,I was 16 and had to do everything from scratch, and the eyes had to be imported from Germany. The only book on the subject I had was written in the mid fifties! If my first mount had looked like yours I would have been very, very happy. Keep it up and good luck!
