I am skinning a red fox cub. What is the trick to the foot pads? I am stuck on all four feet. I skinned down the back, down tail, remove head and now I have the legs pulled down to all four pads. I am afraid to pull any harder on the hide. Should I split underneath the pad? This is also my first full body mammal. Do I clip each toe nail at the first nuckle. Thank you.

I make a relief cut from the foot pad to the elbow. You will free the toes at the last joint. Take your time and dont pull too hard or you will rip the skin. Good luck.
