well i looked and used the orange spot but could not find what i was looking for , here is the ? can i use water based and lacquerbase paints on the same fish?thanks for the in put

As long as the last coat applied is DRY, you can paint either over either...eh? Good luck.

Even if that water based undercoat appears dry it still can take a fair amount of time to (be able to) hit it with anything laquer based. Also if you put on a coat of laquer based paint that is too heavy (wet) it could re-hydrate the underlying (water-based) paint and basically eat it off. Personally, the only laquer based product I use OVER water-based paint is my final gloss coats. And I ALWAYS let the fish dry at least several hours (preferably overnight) BEFORE attempting this...
