I'm working on a whitetail i just got back from the tannery and it seems the top eye lid with the lashes on it is tearing away from the cape, can this be sewed back on with clear line or what do you recommend, also it seems to be losing quite a bit of hair when i test fitted the cape on the form, some of it just pulls right out, what might have caused this and will it get better as it dries?

some hairs will fall out but if it's in one spot and it's all falling out you have a problem. If it's just a few hairs here and there they all do that, just quit pulling them out. As far as the eye lid you can use fishing line to sew it but if it's going to show and not look right super glue it together with something very thin behind it. I've heard of people using fabric softener sheets but I'm not sure if that would work there. Other wise you can just pin the it shut once it's all mounted and let it dry that way and take the pins out. Hope that helps!
