Would there be any problem keeping a baby raccoon that was just rolled by a tire while momma was moving them across road? no damage, happened in front of my house in country.By the way its dead. This time of year in Iowa a young coon would there be any problems of not a good hide?or any thing else to watch for? I see all the time people mounting baby raccoons and I figure this is the only time to get them.If it is ok what is the proper way to freeze? and should I take measurements? and where to measure I am just beginning and am not ready to start and need to freeze for now. any help on this or input would be helpful.. Thanks

Big problem.
Any babies of animals is not legal to have here in Iowa, unless they come from a game farm/private breeder with papers.
Went that route with the DNR a few yrs back on some baby bunnies called to get a permit for them and when and they came they told me cant give a permit for them and they took them from me and disposed of them.
So, if ya dont wanna fine you are better off getting rid of it.
Jeff
