Hi All,
I am starting my own side line of work through taxidermy. However I don't have a whole lot of money to work with and am looking to purchase descent used equipment and supplies without the new cost. Any one out there trying to sell some equipment or know of any good web sites that may have used equipment available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are alot of supply companies out there, but if you're new, im guessing that you don't have a ton of experience yet and want to make the mounting process as easy as possible. Also depends greatly on what you're looking to mount, but if you do any whitetails, be sure to check out <A HREF="http://www.eppleybrothers.com/" target="_new">Eppley Brothers Taxidermy Systems</A>. And if you have any questions, feel free to call us at (330) 674 9900. Almost everyone that works here does taxidermy on the side, and can probably answer any questions you have.
I started out with the basics. All I had was a handheld drill, a hand staple gun, cheap dremel and a couple cheap modeling tools. I did not even have an airbrush and used to hand paint my mounts. Not as convenient, but it worked.
Your tool collection will build over time.
