My uncle gave me his fleshing machine that he has has had for awhile and I plugged it up and practiced on a cape and RUINED it because of all the holes. So looked in the archives in here and adjusted the gaurds so the back one is past the blade and the front one is adjusted below lip. Anyways I got another cape out and practiced on it and it was doing okay but then I pickeled it and started to shave it down and it only fleshes an area about 1/2' to an 1" wide, and the cape is all uneven becuase some areas are thinned nice but the others are too thick and its all lumpy even after I go over them. I can take my finger and press hard on the blade (when it is not on) and it wont even come close to cutting my finger. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong, could the blade be dull? are the gaurds adjusted wrong? I dont know please help. I ruined this cape to (its another practice one) there are hundreds of holes ranging from no bigger than a pencil eraser to big as a saucer.
