I am still new to this. I have read many ways of measuring capes. I bought some capes to practice on, mostly doe and button bucks. But no measurements were sent with them. So all I have is the cape itself. Now the doe cape has no incision down the neck, so how do I measure the neck and get it accurate enough to order the form. Next is the eye to nose. Can I just lay it flat and try stretching it out a little to measure or is there a better way. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

Ja welcome to wonderful world of taxidermy
fold the cape flat down the center of the back of the neck, you don't have to stretch it out to the max but a little will work fine. Measure from center of top of neck to bottom center of the throat 3" from back of ears,I've done several this way, work for me. Nose to eye, I stick a small ball or anything about the size of nose inside nose stretch just a little, go to corner of eye.
Good luck Ja and have fun
