I have some potters clay that has dried out. Is there any way to rehydrate it or do I just go ahead and throw it away and buy some more.

The way companies that use a lot of clay do it is to soak the powder in water and pour it onto flat plaster pieces. The plaster absorbes much of the water and you scrape the clay off when it is how you want it.

Place it

Rob, don't throw it away! Simply wrap your clay in wet (they don't have to be dripping wet) rags. Then wrap in a plastic bag. Your clay will be "re-claimed" in a day or to. Dan

You take and put the dried clay in to bag, pour in some water and knead it as it absorbs the water. Letting it sit over night works pretty good to. it will rehydrate on the bottom more, but after it becomes soft on the bottom, knead the top down inside the soft stuff on the bottom. You can also add more water anytime.
