i recently was shown a beautiful house, which i liked a lot, however the previous owner is an avid hunter who mounted all of his trophies. there are about 20-30 heads of deers, mouse, bear and birds. my concern is, are there any health hazards like dusts, fleas or exposure to any toxic materials left on the carpets, draperies, etc?. we are in texas.

Your shoes, handbag, gloves, coats, belts, etc. are all made of animal skins of some sort and leather is leather regardless of the appearance. The mounts may attract what we call dermistids, but their common name is "carpet mites". These guys live in the dust of houses that DON'T have mounts. Fleas live on blood and your pets are a bigger problem than any dead piece of leather with a few hairs growing on it. You should be more concerned with fire ants, brown recluse spiders and such than anything the original owner might have introduced.
You will be fine
That there is a trophy fer sure!
The previous owner could have darn well left diahrrea stains on the toilet, vomitted on the floor, had sex in every room of the house at one time or another, possibly invited his gay friends over, had spit fly from his mouth while talking, cut his finger and washed the blood in the kitchen sink, squeezed puss from an infected cut which squirted the wall, sprayed bug sprays, room deodorizers and carpet fresheners, had smokers over on occasion, ran barefoot with BAD foot odor, throughout the house, dropped numerous soiled diapers, had the dog pee on the carpet and much much more. So be careful!LOL!
