I'm opening up a shop this summer and know all the tools I need(brushes, compressor, handtools, etc.)and want to know if anyone knows the cheapest place to do that. I've done some comparing and have noticed some differences, but not much. any info appreciated! thankyou

You cannot make a living with cheap tools. A hammer from Harbor Freight might be good for hanging a picture in the den, but it is not worth a "tinkers dam" when put to the test of everyday use. Look at Craftsman, Delta, Dewalt, etc if you want long term use and service. Scrutinize specific taxidermy tools. Exhibitors at conventions offer a wide array of tools for use in taxidermy. There you can consult with other taxidermist about what to buy and what to avoid. Get receipts, and deduct these as business expenses when doing your taxes. This helps offset some of the cost of buying good durable tools. If there is a particular tool have a question about purchasing, ask about it here and you should get plenty of opinions. Also, search the archives for particular tools, you should find information there also.
Brent - I could be wrong, but it sounds like you don't have much experience in taxidermy. How can you be opening a shop without already having those basic tools?
I completed AIT over a year ago and have been doing things in my brothers shop, I know what tools I want including brands and just wanted to know best place for bargains(not junk) same brands for better prices. thanks
