I would like to try casting my own earliners but want some thing that won't expand. I was told before to use bondo and thin it with resin but how much will it expand as it dries? I know they are the same thing and bondo just has fillers added. I was going to use fantastic cast to do it but don't know how much that expands either. I was planning on using alginate to make the mold with. I have a cape where one ear is bigger than the other and I would just like to make some extra's to have around. I would like to leave the cartiledge in but if it's better, take it out. So what is the best thing to use that won't expand?

You may use either the bondo and resin or fantastic cast. Niether of them expands. If you use alginate, you can't use fantastic cast. The fantastic cast reacts with water and it will foam up.
method for filling ears, and I could get them nice and thin but than as it dried and set up it would get lumps and end up thicker and I just didn't like it. What can I use with fantastic cast?
