NOT LEVEL EYES

Some say a deers eyes are always level to the ground, whether or not it is looking up or down. Right?...this deer is looking up into an overhead camera, its eyes are level with its nose, not the ground...

I think that this one is level with the ground because he is looking forward, but his nose is up, but if he is looking up at the brach, his eus would be level with his nose.

Please clarify, this is confusing.

Gina, you obviously didn't read that last post on this

The gentleman explained that the pupils WILL move up or down in order for the animal to focus on something for immediate attention and then will move back to the level line. Your picturs only verify what he was saying.

OK, so...

These pictures are of animals focusing on something, but if it were a video clip, the eyes would rest in a level line?

The pupils

DO NOT stay level with the head up, look in a break through white tail taxidermy book on page 74 and it will show you how the pupil moves when the head moves up or down. With the head up they follow the nose with the head in a normal or down position they stay level with the ground.

Thanks jessica
