A old dryer will work but it is going to beat up the birds. Get a med. round cooler(2-3gal) size ducks & upland birds will fit in it . Place bird into it with corn-corb- grit then roll on floor for a will.
Been doing them this way for a few tears now & realy like it . I do a lot of turkeys & use a bigger 0 gt. size cooler for them, remove tail & just tunnm it over & over for a while.
If you spin them in the washer before tumbling it will only take a few minutes to tumble.

You can also use a heavy plastic bag.

I have used a heavy plastic bag and double bagged the sawdust when tumbling in a dryer. NO Heat! 1st wife had a fit.
