I just wanted to take a few minutes and help all the beginners having problems like myself..my way of paying back what i have learned off this site..i started taxidermy a year and a half ago.with no one to steer me right,i spent countless hours on taxidermy.net just talking to people who would offer advice and helpful hints and even the nic picking off my mounts(which to me is better then anything)i see alot of beginners on here posting pictures and getting mad when they get the results..Use the bad results study what they are saying and fix one area at a time..well anyhow..i spent tons of money on schooling ,videos, tools i diddnt need, and so on..then when i thought all odds were against me i went to a local taxidermist for help..yep a shut door in my face..with no advice..where do i start ,whats next..
Then i found out not all taxidermist are not like my local ones..Rick Krane emailed me and my spirits came back to life rick talked to me for hours on the phone..and set up a date to school with him on fish..and gave me a fellow to contact about gameheads..John griffith..
WOW..John Griffith is no joke if you want to learn quality game heads this is the man to call ive been their a few times and the way he teaches and explains things to you is unbelivable ,im now on my way with game heads..Gmeheads that i am proud to but out of my business
and will be going to see rick krane in sept..if i get from him what ive got from john i will consider myself a quality taxidermist..So thanks to all the guys on these fourms ,rick krane ,john griffith,Dennis,Cecil, thanks guys..i could go on for days with names thanks to everyone on this site for helping us beginners If your wondering my reason for this story was i had a kid 18 years of age who emailed me and said he was having the same problems i am ..what should he do..well i passed on what was passed on to me..Thanks everyone..
