Is it possible to remove a mounted fish skin and rehydrate it to scrape further? I attemted my first lake trout about six months ago and still get some grease through the skin.The head was removed but not the fins.I`ve been wiping it with acetone which helps but not enough.basically would like to remove skin and start over.

There are 2 part epoxie sealers that do just that, seal in the grease. I'd re-hydrate as a last resort, it can be done because I've done it ONCE! enough said...
