how to clean trophies

kindly suggest how should i clean my mounts we have dust mostly where i live i have african shoulder mounts is there any sprays or liquid,regards

you want to be careful on your mounts. Too much water or cleaning solution is not a good thing. You may also damage or wipe away paint on the mount that has been used in the finishing. I would recommend taking your mounts to a taxidermist.


Use a soft brush attachment on your home vacuum.

I tell my customers on the animals with longer hair, spray Pledge on an old T-Shirt and wipe gently in the direction of the hair. Doug is correct on one point, however. Mounts can get infested and a taxidermist needs to retreat them at least once ever two years to prevent that. There are no "permanent" insect repellants allowed anymore.

thankx guys im at the hot region because of that one of my kudu ear is spliting i dont know what kinda glue he has any ideas ,taxidermy was done in africa,there is no professtional taxidermist is near me where i live ,plz advise...regads
