mounting first squirrel and rabbit

I am very new at this and I tried to mount my last squirrel on an Ellzey (rigid) form and found it very hard to try and stretch the skin over the form. Is it better to try your first and maybe even all your animals on flexi-forms? I know squrirrels are hard to do, and would this make it easier? Thank you, Char.

flex forms...

are just as hard to use as rigid forms. I like the rigid forms myself just because they don't flex and move on you. Best advise I can give is to use a lot of glue to help slick things up a bit, and make sure you are using the right size form for the job.

On some forms (and I would ask if you are doing a dorsal cut?) I have to cut either the head or the midsection and reposition after I get the legs run up into the form. also depends on the pose. I either hot glue or super glue and staple at the cut.
