Could someone please tell me if it is ok to remove a pheasant tail before you freeze the bird and how to do it, I only have a upright freezer and its not long enought to freeze a pheasant whole. thanks a lot Jenny

It's perfectly okay to remove the tail before freezing. Pheasant tails are usually processed seperately anyway. You can cut it off leaving just a little skin and either freeze it or flesh out the meat/fat and borax it and card it with pins and put it aside to dry.
