Should I preserve turkey beards?? If so how??? Can I do it at home??

You can preserve they very easily at home. Just clean of all loose fat , rub with borax ad dry. Its that simple ! Bob C

I use a quart jar with about 3-4 inches of borax powder in it. I too, clean all fat and excess skin from the beard. Then shove it skin side down into the borax so that the skin end is well covered. The jar helps hold the beard in that upside down position without bending it. I leave it there for about 2 weeks. Then just pull it out, brush off the borax and mount however you wish.
