I have been messing with taxidermy for a number of years just
doing a few of my own stuff. Am getting to the point of thinking
about starting up a shop at least part time to begin with. I live
in north carolina and need to find what kind of basic guidelines
and laws to follow as far as customer info and stuff

We have just started up shop in NC and Tim has just finished Ralph's course at PCC. The biggest issue here is to make sure all paper work is accounted for. Game Wardens are nice, but are good at there job, usually comming around Turkey season to check anything and everything. Make sure EVERYTHING is tagged. Also, in NC, if there isn't a hunting season for it then it's illegal to kill it, therefore illegal to mount in most circumstances. Good luck.
