Can you use Sea salt( for water softeners) instead of non iodized salt to dry hides. I see it at the store all the time and just wondered. Thanks

We use feed salt. I can get it at the local feed store for about $8.00 for a 50 lb bag. Make sure it is plain white, the kind with orange stuff in it will turn your capes a funny color.

I use morton purex all purpose salt. It is 100% pure salt, works great, and cost 5.00 for 80# bag. I get it from a local feed store. I hope this helps. Jeff
