I am doing an antelope european mount, and the beetles are working
it over as we speak. But what I was wondering is will they eat off
posts of the horns. I have the horns off, but am not sure if I should
let them eat the pedestal or what to do. Any help would be very
helpful. Thank you , Eric

I can't stop running into you......for what my opinion is worth
Those beetles will consume anything that isn't bone for the most part.
That includes: Cartilage, hair and hide. Your living room carpet if you let 'em. Unless someone knows more of what I don't know....which happens. Elaboration is welcome.

They won't eat the posts they are bone. I wouldn't put horn in with them though.
