Just wondering if anyone could tell me how to preserve a big hornets nest I found tody. It's still in good shape, and I didn't know if there is some kind of coating I can use to keep it together. I appreciate any help.

Is about as good as you can get for holding the paper together. No bugs I would guess? JC

Preserved by accident?

I traded for one years ago, and I did not like the conditions of the Studio of the former owner ( afraid of roaches). So I hung it inside a big cardboard box and set off a bug bomb and left over night. Next day,I was afraid I had ruined it. It looked like it was unraveling. But I let it dry and it sealed back down. I guess the oil in the bug bomb helped to preserve it. I've had it for probably 8 - 10 years in the studio. I have even taken it outside and rinsed it off when it got real dusty.
