I was just wondering what part of taxidermy are you going into? Fish,
mammals, birds, reptiles? Or all orf them? If you are just beginning
from scratch I would recommend the getting the WASCO catalog and look
at the Breakthrough manuals. They are very informative and whichever
manual you choose whether it be gameheads or whatever it has a list
of suggested materials in it. If you let me know what you want to start
with I will be glad to tell you what I would purchase.

If I was going to put anything on my Christmas list for beginning taxidermy,
It would be some of Sallie Dames beginner Video tapes. They are not
" state of the art" taxidermy, but they do show you how to do your own mounts with what you have around the house as far as tools.
I started with Sallies beginner set, and am now in my second year as a
part-time Taxidermist.
Hope Santa gets your mail :)
