ANTELOPE,septum,nose, and inner ear color?

First antelope, do i just paint inside of the nose &ears just black or is there some blending? is the septum pink,or black?Thanks any info.

Rick-
Most commercial work is simply black nose pad and septum and
dark brown in the ear.
I would not do that; it's really a very simple color scheme
to do correctly.
Way down in the septum you should encounter a tinge of mars
red, blending out to dark brown and then paynes gray. The nose
pad itself is avery dark color of dark brown toned with
paynes gray.
If you have not carved in a good, deep septum then skip the
red; it's very deep in there.
Don't forget to rebuild the nose pad, it's not as textured
as a whitetail, but it's not completely smooth, either.
The ears are usually quite dark, the dark brown and paynes
gray, all the way into the inner ear. I have seen individual
animals that were not as dark, use reference from the area
the animal was harvested if possible.
