I have seen a good video on largemouth bass mounting from WASCO Tom Sexton- Largemouth bass mounting A to Z. I thought it was very in depth and easy to understand for the beginner. There may be other good ones but I would recommend this to you. Good luck, Mark

I ordered a few videos in 1987 when I first got interested in taxidermy...I watched them numerous times before beginning my project, and they proved to be a wealth of information. Although videos are great references, you should also explore other educational sources such as wildlife books, trade magazines (Breakthrough, Taxidermy Today, American Taxidermist, etc.), and contact your state taxidermy association. Go to their convention and sit in on a few seminars (some instructors will even let you video their classes). You will be surprised at the amount of information out there, and the willingness to share it.
To give you my opinion, I say YES, you can produce quality mounts from video instruction...it will take time and practice, but it is well worth the effort and investment. Good luck!

You can get a good start from videos, they will short cut your learning proccess.
I dont think you can learn the little tricks that will put your work a cut above the rest from videos.
You need to look at the shows and the evaluations to get the finishing technics that can go with them!!! John C

I agree with John on that. I started with videos, then the state org.
Now with the Forums. Videos only give you one perspective.
