I am an amateure Taxidermist specializing in WaterFowl, where can I obtain my Federal Permit. I recieve several birds from friends and Family not including the freezer full of my ducks & geese, I heard even if I am doing this for a hobby and a few bucks...I need a federal Permit. Any help or point to some websites would be great.
Thanks
Jim

Contact:US Fish & Wildlife PO box 779 Hadley Mass 01035.Or simply call them at 413-253-8643 and request an application.I don't recall the cost but it's minimal and the permit is valid for two years.Good Luck..........

Also make sure your state does noe require you to have a licensed to mount birds. If so you need to get licensed first before you can get a federal permit. I know because thats how they work it here in PA
