i'm just getting into mounting birds. I keep reading about using borax.....what is it?

Borax is basically a laundry detergent extender.can buy it in any grocery store in the laundry detergent section. It has been used successfully for probably close to a hundred years. Works fine for birds, make sure they are fleshed very well and degreased.
