I am in the process of making a fiberglass reproduction of a fish I caught. I am making this fish myself just for fun. I made the cast out of Plaster of Paris and it has turned out pretty well. Does anyone have suggestions on what type of mould release I should use so that the fiberglass resin will release from the cast?

You can use johnson paste wax. Apply it lightly and the mold should come out with ease.

Lube 'er up with vasoline. Cover everything. (Yes, I'm talken' fish here folks) Then take a hairdrier to her (set to hot) to liquify the vasoline. Let the excess run off. Tried and true method, and fun to describe!
