Mark, I have videos galore, and they are all good but my favorite
ones are from McKenzie. Their videos are very detailed .
Good luck ,

Look for "Mounting a whitetail deer from A to Z with sallie dahmes(sp?)" in the WASCO catalog it`s an excellent starter. It is a two tape set approx 4 hours long I believe...very thorough.

Hey would you beleive I have a video by Don and Connie Stevens, taped by Archie Phillips. Watched it today and dog gone it try as I might I did see some things I had forgotten. It is very complete and should be a added tape for anyone wanting to learn deermounting. I also have Sallie's tape.
You can not go wrong by getting both of these. Now lets go sew up that deer (2 of them).

I've got several of the video's out today and have tried to follow them all. I had problems with the tanning directions on the WASCO film but the finishing part was good. I belive they say to leave the hide in the lutan f tooooo long...it made my hide shrink. 24hrs is enough. I tried the Van Dyke videos but they were not done well...but they tell you that. They do have some helpful hints. The best that I have seen so far was the McKinze video's. I did notice that they skipped neutralizing (I believe) in the tanning stage but all and all, it was the best. I find myself using certain parts of all.
