The table of my flesher is flaking black paint all over my hides. It makes for a real mess and I was wondering if there is a better type of paint I could seal it with or some other sealant that would protect it from chipping. After pickling hides, I neutralize them, and rinse in plain water. I also wash down the flesher with baking soda water when I'm finished. Any ideas? Thankyou!

I also have the Dakota 3 flesher , I put a sheet of plexyglass over
the top to protect it works great. I have had mine for 2 years and
it still looks new. Dave

I also had the same problem with my Dakota, take a grinder with a wire wheel attachment and clean off all of the flaking paint and rust, then take some envirotex lite and coat the table top with it I did this on my Dakota II five years ago and haven't had a problem since.
Hope this helps.
Brett.
